Milenko Tanasijevic is an American-Macedonian composer and pianist based in Newton, Massachusetts. He studied piano and theory at the Macedonian Music Center in Skopje, North Macedonia, where he developed an early interest in Jazz interwoven with elements of Macedonian folklore. His passion for cross-cultural expression led him to perform across Europe and at the 1986 Montreal Jazz Festival before enrolling at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

In the mid-1990s, Milenko’s focus turned to contrapuntal organ and keyboard works inspired by J. S. Bach, resulting in two major collections: Magnificat: 24 Fugues and Magnificat, Book Two.

His more recent piano music is bridging composition and improvisation while extending his lifelong search for new musical forms and textures.
